In the ex Touring Club Milan building, today a 5 star Radisson Collection Hotel, the Fontanot staircase connects the lobby to the relax and reading area. The loft, defined by the railing on its perimeter, continues the aesthetic of the staircase railing.
The stair has 17 rises – 16 treads. The first flight is 120 cm wide (minimum width for public spaces) while the second flight with stringers that open towards the landing, has treads that go from 128 to 170 cm in width.
The railing has steel arches in RAL 9004 varnished carbon steel, clad in 8+8 smoky grey stratified safety glass.
The treads are in solid brushed oak with a custom shade. There is an inferior LED strip between the first two treads that define the going, adding to the general atmosphere. Each tread has an anti-slip profile in stainless AISI 304 steel.
The stair is defined by its materials, its finishes and its colors that harmonize with the architectural and decorative solutions of the space.
The tread succession offers color and style continuity to the lobby’s flooring.
The handrail is also varnished in RAL 9004, keeping with the colors and essential style of the entire project’s rigor.
